A collaborative film by Jeanne Donegan & Jenn Sova, Thrill of the Chase is a compilation of clips from over 50 American films that examine the portrayal of male violence and ownership through the pursuit of women. Thrill of the Chase layers sounds and visuals from multiple sources to compare the notion of the grand romantic gesture with that of the horror movie chase scene. The film aims to question the fine, and often misunderstood, line between wanted and unwanted advances, and how these portrayals normalize misogynist behavior.

Thrill of the Chase premiered in the Chicagoland Shorts Vol. 3 Film Festival hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2017.
